Steve Waugh chats to Tim Stimpson at Founder's Day 2007

London County Founder's Day 2007

Twenty/20 Match Dads’n Lads Cricket Day
Royal Ascot Cricket Club, Ascot Racecourse, Berkshire
30th September 2007

CB Fry’s XI versus Ranji’s XI

A great game at Royal Ascot Cricket Club was won by CB Fry's XI, co-captained by Darren Stevens and Joe Sayers. Darren Stevens was at the wicket, as he was for Kent in the Twenty/20 Final this season, when the winning runs were scored.

Some superb presentations were held by Billy Godleman (Ranji's XI) and Joe Sayers (CB Fry's XI) who both added a wonderful context to the day with their perspectives on the two London County Greats.

There were a number of intense competitions going on through the day with brother against brother; one brother bowling out the other brother. Gary Lineker player really well in the final match, opening the batting with Tim Stimpson.

Some fine closing speeches were made by Tim Stimpson and Lloyd Scott.

Special Awards were presented by Steve Waugh.

Bottles of champagne were presented to the co-captains of CB Fry's XI who followed up their 2005 victory in the inaugural Founder's Day to now lead Ranji's XI by 2 victories to 1.

Players of the Day:
CB Fry's XI : Badal Naik
Ranji's XI : Jamie Hoddle

Champagne Moment : Andrew Goodman for a stunning catch

Man of the Day : Hemal Randerwala for his all round contribution

Special Presentation to Roy Burns and Glenn Hoddle who did excellent work as umpires
